In Customer Care we are focused on delivering the desired customer experience for each of our customers. Everything we do starts with the customer and our information about the customer. That information is collected and managed by our Customer Experience Strategy group. Each of our organizations, though completely dependent upon each other, are the experts in their area and will further drive PG&Es alignment around the customer.

Position Summary

Senior Business Analyst is a multi-faceted position within the Workforce Management team. Senior Business Analysts are responsible for managing and supporting database and web development, along with the extraction and analysis of internal and external data. Analysts also develop, modify, analyze and understand various systems used to collect and present data as needed to complete reports and to provide reporting in support of business strategy and decisions. Senior Business Analysts create and utilize SQL and Java script based coding in support of internal tools utilized by the team’s clients. Analysts will also be involved in business process improvement, quality control, special projects and other initiatives while representing the team in the presentation their work.



  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience

  • Job-related experience, 4 years


  • Demonstrated skills in writing advanced SQL programming and database management

  • Demonstrated skills of web development utilizing Java script/ or C#/web skills as well as .Net

  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management

  • Knowledge and understanding of business drivers

  • Strong analytical abilities and the capable use of various platforms to format and present the data (Tableau, MS Suite, SSRS Reporting, etc)

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis on complex data models requiring customized reports and data

  • Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations. Present findings and recommendations to leaders and clients

  • Advance knowledge of fundamental systems and data analysis

  • Understands business requirements and applies them to complex database design and development

  • Identifies database related process improvements and develops solutions

  • Maintain system and application administration functions

  • Develop and track business metrics and key performance indicators; maintaining standard and ad hoc reports to internal and external customers

  • Perform quality assurance on databases and consistent practice of revisiting standard reporting for process improvement

  • Give clear feedback so clients and leaders can understand data, what is usable and how to use it

  • Takes client business requirement and translates them into advance queries, web pages, database formats and provides for automation of processes.
