In this job you will be the day-to-day lead responsible for all facets of community management related to the company’s brand-level social media channels. This includes curating content, creating, scheduling, and publishing posts, monitoring the feeds and engaging as warranted, and identifying notable items that need to be urgently addressed. You will work closely with three peers on the core Social Media team as well as collaborate with others within Corporate Affairs and across the company.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright

  • As the lead Social Media community manager, you are responsible for blending your advanced, in-depth knowledge of social media principles with the company’s tone and voice to ensure that we are communicating with our customers in a consistent manner.

  • Working collaboratively with our Consumer Affairs organization, this position serves as the lead for managing conversations on all of the company’s brand-level social media channels; this includes routine engagement as well as demonstrating strong intuition and judgment in terms of identifying unique or sensitive inquiries to escalate to the appropriate internal stakeholders.

  • Working independently, the successful candidate is responsible for ensuring alignment with brand voice and broader messaging objectives while curating, creating and publishing organic and paid content on brand-level social media accounts.

  • This position will also be expected to support crisis communications activities and may be called on to support company communications outside of “traditional” business hours.

Qualifications

The Essentials

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business or related field.

  • Five or more years of experience as the social media community manager for a brand/company, either in-house or for an agency.

The preferred

  • A track record of identifying and implementing process improvements within a complex, fast-paced environment.

  • Experienced in communicating across different levels of the company such as customers, clients, colleagues and executives

  • Strategic problem solver; self-starter; high degree of creativity to find new ways to achieve team goals.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
