Position Overview:

This positon will be a Supply Chain Senior Advisor within Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Edison Material Supply group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of Supply Management Category Strategies into the optimum Procure to Pay platform. The Senior Advisor will coordinate work within their team and the IT department, to identify and problem-solve system issues in relation to procurement transactions. Throughout implementations and supplier enablement, the Senior Advisor is responsible for engaging stakeholders and leading communication and change management at the work activity level. The Senior Advisor will lead a team of Advisors who are responsible for supplier engagement, re-designing business processes, development of new processes, and monitoring enablements through stabilization.

Typical Responsibilities include:

  • Builds strategic relationships and collaborates with business stakeholders to ensure alignment with SCE and organizational, mission, vision, goals and objectives. Develops project plans and provides direction to team. Resolves issues when they arise and escalates as necessary. Anticipates potential issues and manages risk. Provides guidance and leadership to team members.

  • Works in collaboration with Supply Management personnel (e.g., Procurement Agents/Contract Managers) and other internal stakeholders in implementing the appropriate Procure to Pay strategy to maximize the potential value to be received from the selected platform

  • Leads projects with internal and external stakeholders to implement operational procurement strategies within Procure to Pay platforms such as SAP Ariba and SAP FieldGlass.

  • Develops and implements metrics to monitor area of responsibility, identifies gaps, and implements plans to remediate. Understands and assesses the strategic landscape of Supply Management and how it impacts supplier enablement projects

  • Leads the implementation of enhancements to Procure to Pay platforms in alignment with strategic and operational requirements.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience leading/managing/supporting projects, contracts, or programs.

  • 3 years of experience consulting/leading Procure to Pay platform implementations/installations/enablements.

  • Experience with re-engineering business processes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in business administration, economics, supply chain, IT, or related field or a combination of training and/or experience.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and effectively.

  • Experience maintaining, configuring and using SAP SRM, SAP Ariba and SAP FieldGlass cloud solutions.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including oral presentations, group facilitation and negotiations.

  • Communicate technical terms to a nontechnical environment and/or tailor communication to meet audience needs.

  • CPSM, CPCM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile or related certification.

  • Ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.

  • Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.

  • Effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.


  • Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.

  • This position may require 20% local travel.

  • This position will potentially require working after hours during emergencies.
