The PMO Analyst role within the PMO organization will provide data analytics and strategy for IT delivery. In this role, you will provide support to the PMO team’s financial and budget analysis efforts and will also provide support for: project controls, methodologies, and standards for all programs and projects. You will provide technical support to a cross-functional project team responsible for governance of all aspects of PMO Analytics, including but not limited to budget, forecast, projections, root cause analysis, data analytics, project health reporting, business value realization and quality.
You will also provide support of the operations of the Project Management Office, including reports, frameworks, policies and procedures, and interacting with executives and managers across all IT departments as well as managed-service providers on behalf of IT and SCE. It will support SDLC definition efforts for IT programs, serve as a key member of the PMO team participating in appropriate governance boards, reviewing projects and activities including operations, budgeting, capacity, and planning, and maintaining efficient flow of information.
Project Reporting and Analysis: Monitors, measures and reports on project data. Supports PMO Analytics including forecasting, capacity and change management, risk management, and project tracking and controls.
Project Governance: Supports governance activities by providing detailed analysis, estimations, projections, gap analysis and financial analytics for large and/or complex programs and projects with medium to high technical complexity.
Delivery Governance: Monitors adherence to all budgets and financial planning. Analyzes controls to ensure proper tracking disciplines are followed. Forecasts and manages resource capacity to support delivery of projects in accordance with agreed to scope, schedule, and budget.
5 years of experience in project management or program management
Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Business, or Technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Experience managing large IT programs or projects
Experience with multiple methodologies (i.e. waterfall, agile, etc.)
