Become a Learning and Development Business Initiative Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll consult across the enterprise with Organizational Unit leaders and Human Resource partners to build, evaluate, and execute learning strategies to improve technical and functional performance across the enterprise. Partner closely to define performance expectations, manage scope, schedule and execution of recommendations aligned to support current and future strategic initiatives.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Lead the development and execution of learning initiatives aligned to HR roadmap.

  • Consult across the enterprise with leaders, HR Business Partner, and key stakeholders to align learning strategies to strategic and operational priorities.

  • Prepare and present executive summaries and executive presentation that communicate insights on learning and performance focused outcomes.

  • Provide project leadership and functional direction to the project team including managing design, scope, schedule, and budget.

Qualifications

The essentials

  • Seven years of experience leading training effectiveness efforts.

  • Experience leading and implementing learning initiatives.

  • Experience consulting with leaders at all levels (e.g. front-line supervisors, HR BP’s, executives).

  • Experience developing and delivering executive performance focused presentations.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Training, or other related discipline.

  • Ability to manage multiple duties/projects, take lead and escalate issues to project sponsor.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, adjust to changing priorities, organize a heavy workload, take ownership, and follow through on all assignments.

  • Strong interpersonal and oral communications skills with proven record of building relationships and communicating complex information in a concise and straightforward manner.

  • Knowledge of program evaluation.

  • Ability to take initiative and accountability for the accuracy of information and for achieving results.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and perform with minimal supervision.

  • Experience in Technical & non-Technical Training environments.
