About Information Technology (IT)

The role of IT goes beyond the traditional Information Technology “service provider.” Many of the innovative ideas and projects that shape the company’s future and move SCE forward are dependent on technology. IT employees are at the heart of these projects, collaborating, designing and executing technology solutions transforming our industry. We are also responsible for the information technology necessary to build, operate and maintain the electrical system and deliver power to over 5 million SCE customers. This comprises maintenance and improvement of the technologies supporting all functions at SCE, including but not limited to communicating with our customers and each other, sustaining a reliable modern electricity grid, keeping our employees and communities safe, and enabling the successful strategies of all our operating units in their quest to better serve our customers. The need for optimized, efficient operations, solution delivery, and business planning functions within IT are increasingly a priority. IT has been relying more and more on its ability to forecast work, resource, and financial needs as well as to govern these activities. This is vital for successful development and resolution of rate cases and in developing viable operational plans.

As an IT Contract Manager, you will facilitate, monitor and improve the partner’s relationships for the Solution Delivery organization. Given that about 75% of our resources are contracted, this is a critical role for our organization. It includes the initiation, creation, review and approval of the Statements of Work and various Contracts needed for the Solution Delivery organization to deliver its projects on time and on budget.

You'll be responsible for working with the procurement and project teams to prepare the legal documents needed between SCE and its service providers as well as negotiate the contract terms (i.e. scope, responsibilities, timelines, resourcing plans, etc.). You will be constantly assessing the quality of the delivery from our Partners, report on performance and ensure we get the best possible resources. You will also handle partner concerns and issues related to our contracted resources in order to ensure business continuity and high level of performance. You will also manage the relationships with the other groups using the same Managed Services Providers (MSPs) or Vendors in order to coordinate the conditions and escalations.


Qualifications you need…

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Ten (10) years’ of experience in Information Technology field.

  • Three (3) years’ experience writing Contracts and/or Statements of Work.

  • Three (3) years’ experience in Vendor Management.

  • Experience with Multi-million dollars contract agreements.

  • Thorough knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and the fundamentals of contract management.

  • Broad knowledge of legal contracts (i.e. MSaaS, SOW, CR’s, etc.).

Nice to have…

  • Service Management and/or Consulting Experience.

  • Change Management Experience.

  • MBA and/or Legal sources.

  • Project Management experience or courses.
