Become a Contract Administration Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll work in the Grid Contract Management (GCM) team which plays a key role in contract management and compliance, managing a portfolio of over 4,000 Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) jurisdictional wholesale electric contracts and California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) tariff contracts. This individual will be responsible for assisting our Contract Managers (CMs) with contract administration functions by maintaining several MS Access databases. As a Contract Administration Senior Specialist , your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Ensure contracts and program data are accurately recorded in the Grid Contract Management database.

  • Researches, analyzes, tests and implements changes to the existing GCM database.

  • Document technical issues, lead meetings, assist with or create job aides, user guides, and all types of documentation to support our business needs.

  • Will develop new reports, metrics/dashboards to assist GCM Management with critical regulatory compliance related areas and respond to data requests promptly.

  • Develop customer notification programs and reporting for Wildfire Mitigation programs and other critical issues as they arise, in accordance with local, state, and federal reporting agencies.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues, provide technical assistance with daily operations, and proactively identify problems based on data analysis of inconsistencies and anomalies in the above-mentioned databases/systems.


The Essentials

  • Five or more years of Contract Administration, Contract Management or Program Management experience.

  • Two or more years of experience with maintaining MS Access databases.

  • Data Analytics experience with using databases to create macros, queries and reports.

The Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Software Developer.

  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.

  • Experience with FERC, CPUC, and CAISO tariffs and contracts.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Effective January 2022, this position’s work mode is Hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
