About the Strategy, Integrated Planning, and Performance (SIPP) organization:

We perform the foundational analysis and planning that inform SCE’s views and actions; we provide the strategic leadership that aligns resources, and we coordinate the transformational initiatives that redefine and advance SCE.

Position Overview:

The State of California is a leader in environmental policy and continues to increase expectations for carbon reduction and air quality improvements across the state. These policies have significant implications on Southern California Edison’s business—both opportunities to strengthen electric utilities’ role in the California economy and challenges to our current business model. To forge a path as a leader in this transformation, SCE must take a proactive stance that depends on a strong understanding of potential environmental actions (cap and trade markets, electrification, energy efficiency, etc.) and business strategies that capitalize on the changes.

  • Filters materials and synthesizes into key takeaways about impacts to our business, especially as it relates to our environmental strategy.

  • Publishes regular reports and presents these findings to peers and senior management.

  • Provide input on environmental strategy related matters to other OUs including Local Public Affairs, Government Affairs (state and federal), and Legislative Affairs, particularly regarding legislation and/or local government activities.

  • Prepare executives for external engagements as it relates to SCE’s environmental strategy.

  • Represent SCE at industry conferences, regulatory agency workshops/hearings and industry coalition meetings, as directed by his/her manager.
