About the Legal Organization

This position will be part of the Legal Organization at Southern California Edison, and will be responsible for performing administrative, secretarial, and clerical functions for senior level managers.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position will be part of the Legal Organization at Southern California Edison, and will be responsible for performing administrative, secretarial, and clerical functions for senior level managers.

Typical Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing administrative tasks including uploading Claims and litigation mail; processing mail; data maintenance

  • Assisting with case organization and review for offsite storage.

  • Track and log activities into SharePoint litigation files.

  • Assisting in the preparation of presentations, correspondence, metrics, charts, tables and graphs.

  • Acting as liaison to other Departments and with outside agencies and organizations.

  • Handling confidential and non-routine information and facilitate communication between appropriate departments.

  • Proofreading and editing reports and documents to ensure complete accuracy.

  • Maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices and performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, interact effectively and collaboratively with clients, peers, management, and other work units both on the phone and in person.

  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Demonstrated experience creating presentations with PowerPoint.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Four (4) or more years of experience performing administrative and secretarial duties.

Desired Qualifications:

A combination of formal education, training, and experience to gain knowledge, skills, and abilities generally equivalent to those possessed by a high school graduate.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a legal environment.

  • Demonstrated experience creating and processing expense reports.Demonstrated experience preparing travel arrangements, reconciling credit cards and tracking expense reports.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet and greet internal/external clients and/or vendors.

  • Demonstrated experience with e-mail and calendaring applications.

  • Demonstrated experience planning and organizing multiple assignments, tasks, and projects, and adjusting to changing priorities.

  • Demonstrated experience handling confidential information.Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills, including editing for proper sentence structure, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, interact effectively and collaboratively with clients, peers, management, and other work units both on the phone and in person.

  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Demonstrated experience creating presentations with PowerPoint.

Comments:

  • The work hours for this position are 8:00AM to 4:45PM
