Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Windows-based servers. Support other IT functions which may include vendor management and coordination, ticket resolution, troubleshooting, production issues resolution, project lead, and technology planning and roadmap creation, validating architecture proposals. Ensures IT procedures and policies are followed to meet Service Level Agreements. Seeks process automation to simplify Sytems Administration BAU

1.Leads and designs technical support and solutions for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of platforms for daily production requirements and project development.2. Responsible for Avangrid Wintel Automation initiatives, global automation adoptions, elaborating new use cases, configuration management…

3.Maintains up-to-date documentation and procedures that define the operability of the infrastructure.

4.Monitors MS Windows servers for performance and availability. Makes recommendations when necessary to meet the expected demands, increase efficiency and reduce obsolescence.5. Installs/maintains third-party software packages as required.6. Ensure current device firmware and software versions remain up to date, including patch levels on all devices.7.Designs the roadmap to ensure the MS Windows infrastructure's reliability, scalability, and availability, reducing the environment obsolescence through the appropriate lifecycle programs.

Skills and Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field. Requires at least 7 years of work experience in related IT areas.

•Fluent in various scheduling and scripting utilities and commands.

•Fluent in installing and configuring servers based on needs, including 3rd party and configurations.

•Experience with several MS Windows server-based operating systems, and Red Hat Linux

•Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental distributed computing environment concepts.

•Proven experience supporting and managing large IT environments

•Proven experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft Hyper-V Cluster environments.

•Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

•Ability to respond to 24/7 support.

•Ability to develop and maintain vendor relationships.

•Ability to coordinate with multiple individuals and departments.

•Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple ongoing projects and initiatives.

•Ability to learn new technologies and apply them to current operational environments.

•Experience planniung, developing, and implementing large-scale projects from conception to completion.

•Ability to interface with clients, and gather business requirements and objectives.

•Demonstrated knowledge of PowerShell, SCCM, VMM, OpenManage…

•Experience in Configuration Management and Baseline management.

•Proven experience with HPOO and automated flows, E2E.

•Extensively experienced with performance tuning and planning for consolidation and capacity management for MS infrastructure.

•Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and learn new technologies.

•Large experience coordinating service support vendors, with international and local support teams, following ITIL Processes.

•Enterprise-class infrastructure design, deployment, and testing experience.

•Ability to perform advanced MS Windows infrastructure analysis.

•Experience with cloud and prem solutions to suit business needs. Experience with data security and the need to protect confidential information.
