Job Summary

This role will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Support our Associate Sourcing Specialist in procuring less complex materials procurements

  • Support our Sourcing Specialist in researching, validating and completing change orders to support the services organization, specifically on the transmission side

  • Training and learning of SAP and Ariba

  • Attend pre-bid meetings to learn more about the PDG business with sourcing representatives

  • Field visits with business/sourcing personnel to understand more about PDG field work

  • Assist sourcing in putting together rfx documents

  • Assist sourcing in evaluation of data

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Students must be:

  • Able to work on site 40 hours per week during the summer of 2020

  • Prefer students to have foundational courses in Supply Chain, Accounting, Economics, Business and Calculus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Excel and Power Point

  • Understanding of negotiation principles

  • Value/cost analysis

  • Knowledge of SAP ERP preferred.

  • Sound business judgment

  • Comprehensive analytical abilities applicable to diverse issues

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines

  • Anticipate, understand and respond to customer needs.

Education Requirements

  • Must be a student at a 4-year college currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a related field.

  • Students concentrating or majoring in Supply Chain Management and Analytics are strongly preferred

  • Must have an anticipated graduation date of spring 2021 or later

  • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.

  • GPA's of 3.0 or greater are strongly preferred.
