We are currently seeking a Health, Safety Environmental Manager to join our dynamic Team.


The Health, Safety and Environmental Manager provides safety leadership, ensures operational compliance with safety standards, implements safety directives, assists management to improve safety performance, and helps align safety policies and procedures with regulations. This position supports departments and subcontractors.


  1. Develop and support creationof a strategy of safety and compliancestrategic goals.

  2. Ensure site management has the appropriateactivity-based goals for the leadership team, managers, and supervisors,in order to drive the safety culture, compliance, and results.

  3. Supervise,lead, and mentor company-wide safety and compliance support staff.

  4. Develop effective safety and compliance programsand policies designed to meet operational goals to reduce injuries and incidents.

  5. Communicate safety and compliance strategy andobjectives to leadership.

  6. Support site management in the implementation of safetyand compliance programs or policies.

  7. Design and implement effective metrics to trackprogress, proactively identify areas of concern, and drive accountability.

  8. Design and execute an effective Occupational,Health & Safety Management System.

  9. Liaise with external vendors to manage hazardouswaste hotline, SDS system, waste collection, and disposal program.

  10. Develop and implement audit tracks and identifygaps in local compliance with corporate safety policies and procedures.

  11. Lead or direct incident investigation process,including root cause analysis and identification of corrective actionplans.

  12. Facilitate supervisor and management training onroot cause analysis.

  13. Assist site management in ensuring compliance withall regulatory agencies.

  14. Monitor, interpret and communicate regulatorychanges to management.

  15. Display strong problem-solving skills,organizational skills and analytical skills

  16. Demonstrate professional maturity and ability toact as a change leader.

  17. Identify best practices and lead continuousimprovement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safetyawareness, and improve safe work practices.

  18. Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, andmentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes.

  19. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. AnAssociate’s degree or equivalent field experience

  2. Five(5) years related supervisory experience in a safety role.

  3. Working knowledge of the construction and/or telecommunications/electrical/gasindustry.

  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  6. Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, anddiagrams for projects plans.

  7. Abilityto think strategically and provide strong leadership.

  8. Strongknowledge of applicable regulations.

  9. Abilityto maintain confidentiality.

  10. Clarityof vision at 20 inches or less.

  11. ValidUS Driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. A Bachelor’s degreein related field of study or equivalent field experience.

  2. OSHA 10 and 30 Certifications.

  3. Certifications, such as ASP, CSP, CUSP, COSS, etc.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This job often operates in a field environment. This role routinely requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is physically active, with lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
