Essential Functions:

• Operates horizontal directional drill in accordance with blueprints and designated plans

• Maintains company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines

• Assists with company clean-up as necessary

• Proper industry specific locating experience in the underground utility industry

• Strong understanding of proper PPE and equipment utilization

Qualifications:

Education

High school diploma

Experience

Proficient knowledge of utility installation techniques and standards with a minimum of 1-year experience operating Horizontal Directional Drills. Valid CDL driver’s license with clean driving record, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints. Possess general knowledge of construction practices. Knowledge of utility depths and placements. Must be able to perform hand digging to expose utilities. Must be able to lift 80lbs. Previous rock boring a plus.
