Framatome is seeking future strong engineers to help operate the Fuel Manufacturing plant including process engineering and / or plant engineering.
Provide process engineering support to the Operations department. Will be assigned to a more senior engineer mentor and eventually run processes improvement project in mechanical or chemical engineering.
Provide plant engineering support to the Technical Support and Maintenance organization. Will be assigned a more senior engineer mentor and eventually participate in plant engineering project modifications.
Disciplines sought include Mechanical with strong CAD design capabilities, Electrical, or Chemical. Assignment will be flexible to accommodate ongoing class load.
Run process improvement project in mechanical or chemical engineering.
Participate in plant engineering project modifications.
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this temporary opportunity.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering program with at least 4 semesters (or equivalent) completed by start of internship. Graduate students may also be considered. (Please attach a copy of your academic transcript when applying to this position)
Strong academic performance
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong computer skills (Excel, Word)
Ability to work well with all levels of the organization from technicians to management
Available to begin your internship by June 2019
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Proficiency with process improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, A3 Process, etc.)
Academic and/or extra-curricular leadership experience (e.g. leadership on a team project, involvement with industry related student organizations such as NA-YGN, ANS, etc.)
