Provide technical support for the designated organization based on assigned projects. Assigned projects will be in the area of technical practices in support of the department. This position will be directly accountable to assigned department staff and will support assigned project related activities and initiatives.

Requires current part to full time enrollment status, or a recent graduate, in a bachelor’s or higher degree program at an accredited college or university. Area of study must be in a technical field related to the assigned role. Target hire is a student at a Junior or Senior status at the time the internship commences. Students earlier in their college experience will be considered, along with recent graduates (within six months of graduation). Must maintain a minimum 2.8 cumulative G.P.A. unless approved by Human Resources. A High School diploma/GED is required.

Job Specifics

The Computer Engineering Intern will work alongside computer engineers and systems analysts who support the daily operations of the plant. This work includes cyber security verification, functional testing of digital modifications, and support of preventive and corrective maintenance. Additionally, within the Reactor Fuels department, the intern will assist the department with digital upgrades and implementation of software designed to monitor the status of the reactor core and overall plant performance.

Preference given for students working on a BS Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
