ABOUT THE POSITION

The CEBs have a growing renewable pipeline and we are looking to add as an essential member to the team in Valhalla, NY. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for supporting the procurement team in executing projects undertaken by the organization. The Procurement specialist will work closely with team members from within the procurement function, broader project organization and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Projects will be constructed under EPC or General Contracting structures with major equipment and solar modules assigned to project construction contractors.

You must be eligible to work in the US independent of company sponsorship.

  • Create and issue purchase orders and follow up for timely deliveries.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods and services.

  • Work closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements.

  • Manage low value purchasing through negotiating terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.

  • Support the Category Managers as directed by the Procurement Director.

  • Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered.

  • Undertake analytics reports, dashboards, and reports for the Procurement team.

  • Support in the roll out of strategic initiatives withing the organization.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business (or equivalent)

SKILLS:

  • An ability to work independently without much supervision.

  • An ability to effectively manage deadlines.

  • Quick learner of new technologies and processes.

  • An ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of similar experience in a fast-paced project-based environment.

  • Experience in procurement of renewable energy related equipment or other technical equipment and services preferred.

  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience using ERP like Oracle/SAP is a plus.
