What is the Community to Work Program?
Through this program, individuals will spend the summer working in a variety of entry-level positions. While gaining practical experience, individuals will be able to network with and learn from current professionals at Central Hudson. Participants will have the opportunity to prove their work ethic, motivation and interest in eventually becoming a valuable member of the Central Hudson team.

What does an intern in the Community to Work Program do?
Seasonal employees will:
Receive relevant hands-on experience by working on various projects in the assigned area.
Work side-by-side with current employees in areas such as Electric Transmission and Distribution Operations, Customer Services, Transportation, and Facilities.
Be paired up with a mentor in their assigned department to provide guidance and advice.
What does it take to be an intern in the Community to Work Program?
This program is open to individuals 18 years of age or older.
Individuals must be recent high school graduates or be enrolled in a GED, certification or associate’s degree program.
Individuals must possess a desire to learn and be a self-starter.
