The Generation Support Specialist is a key member of a 24/7 mission critical operations team and is responsible for support of power plant control systems for a 7,000MW renewable generation portfolio. The ideal candidate will have extensive working and institutional knowledge and understanding of complex control systems applications as they relate to the operation of diversely located and centrally operated generation assets.

Responsibilities include:

Work in a real time 24x7 control room environment, acting as the first level of support to technical problems

Provide technical and engineering support to ensure the reliable operation of Avangrid’s Supervisory Control

Determine which escalation path is required for problems with remote systems. Configure, and perform maintenance on complex applications such as GE Alstom e-terra, OSI PI, PC Vue,
