The Senior Analyst for Budget and Cost Analysis is responsible for assisting in the development, reporting, and effective review of the US Renewables Operations Budget including completing analysis on variance to Actuals to support providing information to Executive Management.

Senior Analyst for Budget and Cost Analysis will support Renewable Operations & Maintenance and Commercial Operations by providing analytical support, reporting, and budgeting assistance to facilitate commercial oversight and performance management of assets in operation. The Senior Analyst will interface with many local and global departments including Technical Services, Field Operations, Asset Management, Control, Engineering, Meteorology, Field operations, Generation Control Systems, and the National Control Room.


  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecast.

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reporting.

  • Assist with the preparation of Board of Directors’ meeting presentations.

  • Analyze financial data and prepare to discuss with management team and business partners.

  • Provide monthly financial reporting to business partners.

  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, and tools.

  • Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.

  • Prepare Ad hoc financial analysis and reports as requested.

  • Ad-Hoc Data Requests such as providing information used by Investor Relations and external reporting. Provide information to assist internal stakeholders and contract financial analysis for counterparty issues.

Skills and Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in business finance, industry, or other relevant experience

  • Renewable industry preferred but not required

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance/Economics; MBA preferred

  • SAP Experience desired


  • Ability to identify and improve inefficiencies
