Sales Director (R1-19-0829)

In this role, you will set the vision, strategy and direction for the sales organization; oversee the sales and account management for key customers, creating long-term business relationships; implement strategic account plans, including sales strategies to compete for new customers and win back top accounts; and bring your experience in negotiating complex transactions at C-suite level.

You possess the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics or other related field or equivalent experience and typically 15 or more years in business, economics, marketing, sales or related field.

  • Experience and successful track record of selling into large and national accounts and leading teams that have sold into large and national accounts is strongly preferred.

  • Consultative selling experience where multiple buyers and/or influencers are present and with integrated solutions and services (such as utility, technology services, etc.)

In addition, the successful candidate would have expert knowledge and skills in:

  • Utility operations and business, including regulatory requirements, account management, business principles, electricity fundamentals, pricing and power cost fundamentals

  • PGE’s retail products and services and their competition

  • Product promotion and communication

  • PGE’s transmission and distribution system and how it works

  • Business energy efficiency technologies, systems, concepts, practices, energy savings calculations, and modification strategies

  • Protecting customers’ confidential information

  • Analytical thinking

  • Creativity & innovation

  • Decision-making

  • Influencing others

  • Organization and prioritization

  • Presentation and facilitation

  • Problem-solving

  • Written and oral communications skills
