Key Responsibilities

Market Knowledge and Product Analysis Serves as company lead and provides expertise in analyzing the energy industry market to appropriately develop comprehensive strategies and position a wide range of products; maintains extensive market knowledge through key trade publications and participation in trade organizations and meetings/trade shows.

Product Strategies Orchestrates the development of innovative, creative and cost-effective strategies that drive the success of a variety of products, ensuring the vision and strategy are aligned to corporate strategy; serves as a recognized expert for a variety of products; champions the features and benefits of products; determines best uses of company resources for program goals.

Product Performance and Evaluation Takes responsibility for program/product performance. Evaluates product/program effectiveness in context of overall strategy and road map. Uses data to make road map changes and recommend product enhancements.

Product Life Cycle Management Recognized go-to expert for product strategies. Leads collaboration with stakeholder departments in developing and executing strategies and planning promotions.

Internal Collaboration Recognized go-to expert for product strategies. Leads collaboration with stakeholder departments in developing and executing strategies and planning promotions.

Customer Experience Identifies requirements for the evolution of customer service processes and procedures to ensure high-quality customer experiences, including changes to product and service design to increase customer satisfaction and market adoption; may engage with key customers/partners to advise or collaborate regarding future products or tools associated with the product; determines changes to a wide range of products to increase customer satisfaction.

Policy Planning and Development Recommends development of new or changes to existing policies, practices or procedures related to customer products and services; key expert in supporting regulatory processes and leads stakeholder engagement on new initiatives, products and services.

External Relations and Communication As a recognized expert, participates in meetings and represents PGE interests to industry peers, government agencies, community forums and customer organizations.

Education/Experience/Certifications

Education Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, communications or other related field or equivalent experience.

Experience Typically 12 or more years in product management, an electric utility, marketing, project management or related field.
