With these ambitious goals in mind and our customers’ needs at our core, we are looking for a Manager of our Records & Information Management Department who will be an Ambassador for our company-wide program. They will be a flexible and change-friendly leader who will build deep partnerships with teams across PGE; highly skilled in navigating across levels and with external partners, they will communicate with empathy and bring expertise and influence over outcomes and process improvements that align with PGE’s goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of records and information management staff responsible for the management of physical and electronic records and for information governance (IG); provides technical management for the team, ensuring that objectives are met and all relevant standards/procedures are followed; ensures that operational problems are identified and resolved; ensures that operational procedures and working practices are current and fit for the purpose.

  • Monitors trends and developments in the field of information governance and recommends risk-based strategic directions and priorities to leadership; develops, implements and maintains an information governance program, including defining roles and providing support to information owners; manages responses to records and information requests; manages the design and monitors the implementation of processes and procedures to maintain and retrieve records and information.

  • Defines and reviews the Company’s information governance approach to improve efficiency and reduce the organization's risks associated with the information lifecycle.

  • Acts as or directs team members to act as subject matter experts regarding the development, interpretation, implementation and compliance with information governance policies and regulations; provides consulting and guidance for maintaining, updating and properly disposing of electronic information, including records maintenance, retention, and other records and information governance activities consistent with laws, regulations, and IT guidelines.

  • Monitors and manages expenditures, ensuring that all financial targets are met, and examines any areas where budgets/expenditures vary from plan; assists with the definition and operation of effective financial controls and decision making.

  • Oversees resourcing decisions and planning for team; partners with HR in the definition of jobs, recruitment, evaluation and selection processes.

  • Reviews organizational development needs and training strategies to determine required learning and development outcomes for the team; provides guidance in the creation of development plans; monitors ongoing progress and provides coaching and mentoring and provides feedback; completes annual performance management reviews.


Requires a bachelor’s degree in business or other related field or equivalent experience.

Prefer eight or more years in records and information management, corporate governance, information or knowledge management, library science, project management or related field with at least two years of formal or informal leadership experience.

One or more of the following certifications a plus: CRM (Certified Records Manager), Information Governance Professional (IGP), Certified Information Professional (CIP).
