Financial Technology Analyst

As Financial Technology Analyst, you will be part of a team that strives to enable the business to perform their jobs by providing the tools and information they need. This includes providing support for application information systems in the finance organization (configuration, testing, trouble-shooting), improving our data quality by contributing to our data governance initiatives and growing our data model across PGE, and identifying technology-enabled opportunities to improve the efficiency and efficacy of the finance organization.

This is a collaborative team and 2021 will bring some projects which include: moving from PeopleSoft to a new platform and helping with current and future state process documentation.

Our ideal candidate is someone that:

  • Is experienced with system configuration; PeopleSoft and PowerPlan experience is preferred.

  • Is passionate about improving processes and enjoys group problem-solving

  • Can effectively document work process. Strong technical writing a plus

  • Values high-quality data, reporting and analytics. Experience with Tableau Data Prep, Tableau Desktop or other equivalent tools is a plus.

  • Is familiar with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and is interested in RPA development.

  • Provides support for application information systems in the finance and accounting organization, including monitoring processes, validating system activities and troubleshooting user issues.

  • Understanding of internal controls, including the requirements of SOX, accounting principles and concepts, including GAAP and regulatory accounting theory and practices

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or another business-related field. The Financial Technology Analyst will have two or more years’ experience in accounting, finance or other business-related field or equivalent experience.
