General Purpose

Manages activities related to the Electric Vehicle (EV) policy and support services business within the 6-state area of the PacifiCorp Power Delivery business unit. Establishes and implements business objectives, strategies, and plans to meet EV expansion and operational goals. Manages and allocates financial and personnel resources. Implements and supports company programs and policies. Responsible for establishment and adherence to department budget and performance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing activities related to the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of EV charging stations.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop policies, programs and project details to support PacifiCorp’s EV business operations.

  • Develop detailed project plan to monitor and track quality and progress.

  • Develop effective relationships with business, community and governmental entities to foster expansion of EV facilities.

  • Implement business objectives, strategies and plans in support of the company’s goals.

  • Create and maintain EV related construction and maintenance standards.

  • Meet budget goals and develop financial tracking for installation and maintenance activities.

  • Work with internal and external entities to achieve siting, permitting, and required approvals for charging stations installation and operation.

  • Promote public and worker safety at all times through hazard identification and corrections.

  • Conduct quality control inspections of completed installation work and audit maintenance activity to assure complete work, compliant with standards and public safety.

  • Manage an internal and contract workforce of 10-25 workers to assure productivity standards are met with quality and safe outcomes.

In addition, responsibilities for the Manager level position include the following:

Manage activities related to the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of EV charging stations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience in the electric utility or related industry.

  • 7 years’ of related experience.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in people management.

  • Contract development and contractor management experience. Customer and community service relationship management experience.

  • Understanding and application of elements of personnel supervision.

  • Experience in program or project development, administrative, and leadership skills.

  • Advanced technical knowledge of transportation electrification, electric vehicles, electric mobility, and low carbon fuel standards.

  • Ability to understand technical and functional requirements as they relate to project objectives and project planning activities.

  • Knowledge of information technology terms, equipment, systems, functions and major vendors.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and implement alternate solutions.

  • Proficiency with computer business and communications applications.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to effectively work with teams and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.

  • Ability to prepare and effectively present materials.

  • Some travel may be required. Valid driver’s license is required.

Requirements of the Manager level position include the following:

  • 7 years’ of related experience.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in people management.

Preferences

  • Knowledge of utility system infrastructure construction, operation, and maintenance standards and practices.

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 15.00% of salary.
