Become a Vegetation Management (V&M) Scheduling Advisor , at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. This position resides in SCE’s Vegetation Management Resource Planning & Performance Management (RPPM) Department within the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the ongoing VM work scheduling process for nearly 1 million trees across SCE service territory. Additionally, this position will support other RPPM/VM initiatives to help improve and promote organizational performance and provide consultation to all levels of management. This position may also support other VM wide initiatives.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Manage and implement the scheduling work process and methodology across all VM programs and zones.

  • Manage, track, adjust scheduling of work and resource dispatching for all resource types (Pre-Inspector, trim, removal, notification consultants).

  • Communicate effectively to contractors and Senior Specialists to track and monitor productivity and remove impediments.

  • Identify gaps between master schedule forecasts and actual program progress and ensure program stays on track to meet annual goals.

  • Work with key partners including VM leadership to ensure schedules are on track, avoid non-compliance issues, and ensure smooth coordination of prerequisite tasks such as acquiring property owner permission, environmental surveys, and road clearing permits with applicable internal/external entities, and adjust as needed based on priorities

  • Drive plans and schedules to ensure goals are achieved including report out to leadership of progress.

  • Ability to work in a highly fast paced work environment.

Qualifications

The Essentials

  • Seven or more years of experience with business operations, including resource requirements and business processes.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large amounts of data.

The Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • One or more years’ experience working with vegetation contractors.

  • Experience with systems and applications such as Collector, Survey 123, Fulcrum, ArcGIS systems, Salesforce, and/or Power BI.

  • Experience with providing schedules to contractors and operations personnel to adhere to compliance and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience developing and implementing short and long-term initiatives, plans, and strategies to optimize program performance.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to build consensus with internal and external partners to develop and maintain relationships.
