A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Develop macro coding to discover inconsistencies and other anomalies in data sets.

  • Develop automation for performing data cleansing to improve overall data quality.

  • Perform maintenance on custom database applications supporting unique substation compliance business requirements, and develop complex reports supporting compliance programs.

  • Assist in preparing all reporting to both internal personnel as well as external compliance agencies.

  • Make recommendations and lead data consistency and cleanup efforts.

  • Cross-training opportunities and provide critical coverage to the SC&M NERC CIP related task such as patch management, change configurations management, information management, and access management.

  • Maintain a safety-conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.

  • Conducts independent research when recommending appropriate solutions.


The essentials

  • Three or more years of experience in data analytics, creating data queries, and data visualization.

The preferred

  • Experience in working with Federal or State regulatory compliance entities and programs such as ISO, NERC/FERC, CPUC, and related.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or other related disciplines.

  • Experience in data mining, creating databases to create and edit reports, graphs, and presentations.

  • Experience working with voluminous data and complex reports.

  • Experience ensuring reports and projects are completed accurately and on schedule.

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must demonstrate strong ethics and engage in continuous learning effectively.

  • Proficient with SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Proficient with querying tools like SAS Base or SAS Enterprise Guide.

  • The primary work location for this position is PIV3, however, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at (alternate work location).

  • Position will require up to 20% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.

  • Relocation does not apply to this position.

  • This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.

  • This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email.
