About Transmission and Distribution:

Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 15 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts.

Position Overview:

The Advisor will work with the Manager of PIV Project and Administrative Support to manage corporate philanthropy efforts for T&D, assist in the maintenance and design of Portal and SharePoint sites, support safety, facility, and operational communications to employees of PIV, and will also support delivery of executive communications.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Manage the T&D Employee Giving Program providing direction and training to team members; work closely with Corporate Philanthropy and Ethics to ensure compliance to fundraising and volunteer guidelines; manage the T&D Employee Contributions budget

  • Support T&D SharePoint Team Sites by consulting with T&D teams, designing team sites, troubleshooting and training team site owners on the functions and maintenance of their site(s).

  • Provide project management and communications support for various T&D programs and teams, developing and implementing integrated communications plans for programs, activities and events.

  • Create and publish communications relating to employee events, site safety, and other emergent issues using multimedia platforms such as web, email, video, print, and digital signage.

  • Assist with event planning and execution at Pomona Innovation Village

  • Assist with moving items weighing up to 50 pounds across the building for various event’s needs.

  • Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years leading cross-functional teams

  • Seven (7) years Project/Program Management, IT and/or Communications experience.

  • Valid California Driver’s License

  • Ability to design team space using 0365 MS SharePoint

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts, Journalism, English, Communications, Advertising, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Experience in developing online content

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Web Publishing

  • Primary work location is Pomona, CA , however local travel within the SCE service territory will be required for off-site events, etc.

  • Relocation is not available for this position.

  • You are legally authorized to work directly as employee for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
