Position Summary

Job Description

Days & Hours: Depending on work function, must be flexible to work 8 or 10-hour shifts as assigned.

Qualifying Rate: $21.50

Essential Function s :  Operations Technicians may be assigned by the Company to perform all aspects of work within the Street/Utility Job Family including, but not limited to:

• Completing all phases of core utility work regarding customer service and meter and gas pressure regulator installations.

• Conducting leak investigations and responding to emergencies of any nature.

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining distribution mains and services.

• Operating mechanical equipment.

• Other duties as defined by the CBA for the Street/Utility Job Family.

   

  Initial assignments will be as follows: Utility

Qualifications

Required Background:

• High School Diploma or GED

• All applicants must pass pre-employment hands-on assessment

• A valid NJ Driver’s License

   

  Required Skills:

• Must be available for standby responsibilities and emergency work when required .

  This is a DOT-covered position and will be subject to random drug screening.

  Work location(s) may vary based on language as defined in the CBA.
