Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key liaison between the FP&A group and the IT organization

  • Responsible for the planning, analysis and control of the Information Technology (‘IT’) O&M and Capital financial budgets.

  • Perform analysis and challenge assumptions (where necessary) on key budget and forecast inputs received from business partners.

  • Interface monthly with executive IT management team reporting on monthly financial results and projected forecasts.

  • Lead the preparation of the monthly budget to actual and rolling forecasted financial performance of the Company for the IT organization (O&M and Capital)

  • Assist in the company’s efforts to gather, analyze and report benchmarking data with other peer utilities

  • Support the department's duty to respond to ad hoc requests from senior management and the ownership group

  • Assist the Manager FP&A with the consolidation of the five-year business plan

  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, MBA or advanced certification (CPA) is a plus. With 5+ years of industry experience and 3+ years of previous managerial experience.

Scope:

Primary focus is on day to day management of operational execution for areas managed. Contributes to proactive planning exercises of management team as requested. Trains and develops staff. Plans the work flow. Looks for areas of process improvement and directs available resources to accomplish this. Leads changes and implementations for direct team as pushed down through the organization.

Decision Impact:

Problems and issues are undefined require detailed info gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand/resolve. Makes decisions that address business issues considering immediate impact on own function or work unit or wider implication to the organization.
