Overall Purpose

Accountable to support the Operations Department work management processes and systems functions. Accountable to develop strategies to ensure user acceptance and effective use of the work management processes and systems, as well as the necessary development and tracking of appropriate measures and process controls.

Responsibilities

  1. Work Management Processes. Support the processes throughout the Operations Department, which impact work management and resource planning. Collaborate with various business areas to ensure alignment with processes, solicit input from subject matter experts as required, augment processes as identified and communicate changes.

  2. Work Management System User-Support. Support users of the software tools for work management and scheduling of construction resources. Continuously evaluate the system in use to ensure its effective application is at the center of operational excellence.

  3. Work Management Process and System Training. Ensure new system releases are functional, training is organized and relevant, and associated communications are delivered timely and successfully. Work in partnership with other departments to guarantee system user acceptance and effectiveness.

  4. Productivity & Process Improvement Monitoring. Develop productivity measures in collaboration with the Work Scheduling area within the Work Management Department. These measures should monitor progress; including schedule adherence, as well as productivity for field workers and engineering groups. Also, utilize both standard reports, as well as create adhoc reports for various areas of the Operations Department to assist leadership in the area of continuous improvement. Both communicate to and support others as they analyze and utilize these reports.

  5. Mentorship. Provide mentoring through a transfer of information, techniques and best practices throughout the Operations Department. This includes development of new or improvement of existing processes in support of continual knowledge growth as an individual and within the team, group and company.

  2. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors of Science Degree

  • Experience in construction, engineering, or operation of transmission and distribution assets; or a commensurate combination of education / experience is required

  • Position to be filled at Associate I-IV based on successful candidate's education and experience

Skills/Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to plan and recommend direct coursed of action through strong interpersonal and communication skills. Previous Maximo Experience or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) within a utility or industrial facility is preferred. Ability to analyze present processes and develop strategies to identify improvement opportunities and effectively implement change. Knowledge of and experience with transmission and distribution systems, business principles and financial planning.

Physical Requirements:

Normal office setting with occasional visits to the field that may be required to support this position’s job responsibilities.
