Job Summary
Underground Construction Company Inc. is currently seeking an experienced, thorough HDR mechanic. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on large construction equipment to small vehicles. We’re looking for a well-trained and highly organized self-motivated HDR mechanic who takes pride in their work and can perform multiple tasks as required throughout the day. We need the candidate to be flexible with hours and able to work overtime when needed.
Responsibilities and duties
Diagnose vehicles and equipment based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the operator/driver
Perform regular maintenance as described by maintenance manuals
Ability to inspect a vehicle and effectively create a list of needed parts
Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and determine whether any other problems exist.
File appropriate documentation on all repairs made.
Auto Mechanic skills
5+ years HDR experience
Must be able to work scheduled overtime as needed
Must pass standard background and drug screening
High school diploma/GED preferred not required
Valid driver’s license required with clean driving record, Commercial license preferred not required
Excellent communication skills are preferred
Knowledge of tools and equipment required to conduct all repairs
Ability to operate diagnostic tool repairs
Ability to operate automobile lifts
Must supply own tools
