This is a multi-level posting. Candidates may be considered for any of the posted level, depending on their level of experience and depth of expertise. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function) The financial Analyst I / financial Analyst II / senior financial analystevaluates potential tax equity, investments, acquisitions and other investments. This position will complete presentations, reports and analysis on forecasted financial information; perform analysis on key forecast inputs and assumptions; conduct market research and prepare extensive financial models in support of business development activity; prepare financial materials to support regulatory filings; and perform other financial and business analysis including ratios, cash flow, sensitivity and other analysis to identify financial impacts of business strategies.Position assists in conducting due diligence on domestic and international acquisition targets.Coordinates business development activities with external partners. Typical Duties Develop valuation tax equity structures, models, validate senior management internal rates of return targets, utilize various development and contract provision inputs concerning varying types of generation development and analyze various financing options associated with activities in the renewable energy industry. (50%) Perform corporate, subsidiary and project cash flow and variance analysis. Assist in preparation of various presentations for senior management. Reconcile actual information and prepare analysis explaining differences to budgets and forecasts. (10%) Conduct the analysis, evaluation and presentation of potential acquisitions and other investments. (20%) Prepare competitive proposal support including financial models, narratives and research of investment opportunities. Interact directly as a company representative with counterparts from joint venture partners regarding financial analysis. (10%) Compile, analyze, research and interpret data to prepare reports, corporate and asset acquisition/divestiture analysis, forecast future trends and stays abreast of economic changes and industry topics. (10%) Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. Financial Analyst I : Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Certification or advanced degree such as CPA, MBA or CFA beneficial. One to three years related work experience in public accounting, financial forecasting, financial modeling and/or financial analysis beneficial. Financial Analyst II : Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. Certification or advanced degree such as CPA, MBA or CFA beneficial. Three or more years related work experience in public accounting, financial forecasting, financial modeling and/or financial analysis beneficial. Senior Financial Analyst: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. Certification or advanced degree such as CPA, MBA or CFA beneficial. Five or more years related work experience in financial forecasting, financial modeling, financial analysis and/or accounting with an emphasis in financial analysis. Advanced accounting and financial skills with the ability to develop and interpret full financial statements, understand financial impacts of changes on cash flows and financial ratios, apply accounting principles to the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports. Advanced research and analytical skills with understanding of quantitative analysis, financial analysis methods and tools and cash flow analysis. Advanced software skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and ability to utilize advanced modeling techniques in order to automate model functionality. Ability to work with and gather information from subject matter experts such as working with the accounting team to project the income statement impact of a transaction. Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills to effectively monitor developments in forecasted and actual data, including recognizing patterns and/or outliers in data and events which may influence forecast results or assumptions; the ability to draw logical conclusions and make recommendations for action. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
