Underground Construction AutoCAD Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona

JOB SUMMARY

AutoCAD Specialists assists the operations and administrative team with technical skills and document review. Field Work orders are reviewed for accuracy, and AutoCad is performed based on the type of work and/or project. This position also performs office administration and support activities to the FOMS Data Specialist.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Reviews project requirements and assists to determine the necessary, timelines to ensure technical expectations are realized to meet both, customer, and internal specifications.

  • Natural Gas work orders are reviewed for accuracy from field team

  • Performs field audits of installed gas line to verify measurements

  • Verify materials usage, installation footages

  • Perform AutoCad and complete As-Built review per customer timeline submissions

  • Meets with field operations and updates customer and management on the project status.

  • Ability to work multiple projects at the same time and meet all deadlines.

  • Comply with all safety requirements- reinforce all internal and external safety practices and policies.

  • Prepares manual redline drawings and high-level designs when required.

  • Prepare electronic drawings using computer aided drafting systems when required.

  • Understanding of local, county, state permits requirements (e.g., encroachment, right of way, easement, centerlines, etc.).

    KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of general engineering experience.

  • Natural Gas Construction experience a plus

  • Knowledgeable in Autodesk AutoCAD, proficient in Bluebeam preferred

  • Able to do 3D pipeline isometric drawings

  • Time management; prioritizing work and documenting tasks.

  • Ability to identify and report anomalies to project management.

  • Travel requirements to job sites as needed

  • Must be able to maintain a valid driver licenses if travelling

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
