About the Job
Account Receivable Admin, often referred to as AR Clerks, provide financial, administrative, and clerical services and ensure accuracy and efficiency of operations. AR Clerks process and monitor ongoing receivables and posting receipts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:
Enter daily progress reports from the construction field into accounting database. Information includes but not limited to; work order #’s, job address, accounting codes, unit prices, etc.
Daily generate high volume invoices for customers.
Perform day to day revenue transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
Research and resolve issues with aged, unbilled, and unapplied receivables.
Contact customers for outstanding receivables and ensure all payments are accounted and properly posted.
Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.
Generate reports for project management as requested.
Work closely with Operations team and support staff.
Assist with corporate office audits.
Cross train and work with team members as needed with daily workflow.
Other duties as requested by manager.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or another related major, preferred.
3 years of administrative/accounting work or construction industry experience preferred.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
High degree of organizational skills, and ability to prioritize the workload.
Advanced computer skills and proficiency with financial management software
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
