The PSE&G Gas Asset Management Organization is seeking interested college students for the Corrosion Internship Summer Program. This temporary

Summer opportunity will provide employment from May through the End of August and will require full time hours at various PSE&G locations.

Corrosion Interns help to ensuring the integrity of the PSE&G gas main system. Interns will use PSE&G Company vehicles and associated equipment

voltage meters, hand tools, safety-related equipment, traffic control equipment, etc.) to safety take test point readings at designed locations on the gas

System as directed by PSE&G personnel.

This safety-sensitive assignment requires adherence with prescribed job site work practices and safety procedures. The work includes utilization of mobile computers, multi-meters and paper maps and records to evaluate and document gas system components through access points throughout the gas service

territory. This position requires all successful candidates to drive a company issued vehicle - must posess and maintain a valid driver's license and a safe driving record . Safety and Integrity are mandatory.

Required:

  1. Must be actively pursuing an Associate Degree or undergraduate degree at an accredited* institution.

  2. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record.

  3. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and Power Point Applications.

  4. Must be familiar with computer mapping applications and general knowledge of the use of computer hardware and software programs.

  5. Must successfully pass a DOT - mandated drug screening and background check.

  6. Locations available: Audubon (1), Burlington (1), Trenton (1), New Brunswick (1), Plainfield (1), Summit (1), Orange (1), Clifton (1), Harrison (1),

Jersey City (1), Oradell (1), & Oakland (1).

PSE&G recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.

As an employee of PSE&G or PSEG Long Island, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
