Omaha Public Power District Co-Op Electrical or Mechanical Engineering - North Omaha Station in Omaha, Nebraska


Department: Power Plant System Engineering

Location: North Omaha Station, Omaha, NE

Duration/Work Term: Jan 2022 – August 2022 (Spring Term)

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri - 7:00am – 3:30pm - 40 hrs. per week

Pay: $21.69

Job Responsibilities:

Preform testing and root cause analysis

Assist Engineering team in day to day operation

Perform project work

Perform Data Collection

Perform Preventative Maintenance Duties to assist craft in required work


Specific fields of study required: Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering


  • 2.5 GPA or higher is required

  • Current full-time college student pursuing Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree program

  • Must be attending an accredited college/university

  • Sophomore level by the start of the work term

    Technical Ability (i.e. software):

    Microsoft Excel Knowledge

    Mathematical Analysis

    Troubleshooting Experience

    Microsoft Word

    Technical Writing Abilities

    Closing Statement

    Pay: $21.69 per hour
