Job Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring HR technology delivery to stakeholders including administration and oversight of HR Information Systems. Partners closely with HR leaders to ensure HR systems and reporting are meeting current needs and are aligned to future strategic business initiatives. Accountable for maintaining and developing process integration across our HR technology platform, including on premise software (i.e. SAP) and cloud solutions. Collaborate with the Information Technology team to ensure HR systems integrations meet current and future business needs. Participates HR technology roadmap planning, ongoing process improvements, and HR governance.

Primary Duties:

  • Performs the day-to-day activities within the HRIS team to support and serve as a point of contact for HR Information Systems and projects, acting as liaison between HR, managers, users, IT teams, and third party vendors; Provide subject matter expertise on HR Information Systems; Develops and maintains relationships and working toward deliverable goals and objectives.

  • Act as project manager for HR technology or process projects, including managing project team activities, tasks, deliverables, and timelines.

  • Researches and resolves SAP HCM problems, unexpected results, or process flaws; performs scheduled activities; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements; Participates in the review of test results and implementation of SAP HCM upgrades, patches, and interface files; Partner with IT to resolve system problems; Responsible for user acceptance testing which includes the creation of test scripts and testing data utilized for verification.

  • Ensure routine, and ad hoc reports and queries are developed and delivered, as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and audit standards and maintain overall data integrity.

  • Recommends solutions, system enhancements and new applications to support business strategies and operational needs.

  • Recommend policies, process, or procedure changes and/or variations from established policies, processes, or procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Maintain awareness of vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans on current and future functionality.

  • Review impending business issues that will have a direct impact on the HR Information Systems; Provide HR leadership team with an assessment of the impact, scheduling considerations, and other information required for a business case.

  • Develop training tools and job aids for administrators, users, and managers, as needed.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or directly related field combined with Five (5) years experience as an HR Information System Analyst to include Human Capital Management systems administration experience.

  • Experience participating in end-to-end HR systems projects including gathering requirements, system administration, user acceptance testing, implementation, training, change management, and communication.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of Human Capital Management systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Fiori, etc.).

  • Demonstrated strong knowledge and exposure to various Software as a Service (SaS) platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain effective and cooperative working relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and achieve measurable results and make sound decisions by utilizing job knowledge, work experience, and evaluation of risks and consequences.

  • Demonstrated ability to distill complex data into concise and easily understood concepts and recommendations.

  • Demonstrated strong problem- solving skills and the ability to facilitate problem solving efforts.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify moderate to complex issues and apply creative solutions and make recommendations to resolve.

  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and ability to develop detailed application documentation, business user requirements, functional specifications, workflow procedures, and data modeling documents.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects and assignments, as required by workload.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to coach and mentor less experienced team members.

  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of MS-Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and company software.

  • Ability to adopt and practice IIF (Incident and Injury Free) philosophy.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment using office equipment including a keyboard, mouse and computer monitor.

  • May be required to work non-standard hours.

  • May require travel.
