One Gas Field Specialist Transmission in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Preferred: Class A CDL and Experience in Operation.
Performs a specialized level of construction and maintenance work related to a pipeline system.
Perform installation, maintenance, and removal work on transmission and distribution pipelines.
Drive and maintain crew truck. Load, unload, and operate tools and equipment including but not limited to:
Pipe and crescent wrenches
Pipe cutters and threaders
Air compressors and generators
Plastic fusion irons
Jackhammers and concrete saws
Backhoe and trenchers
Combustible Gas Indicators
No blow equipment
Electro fusion equipment/processor
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
Guide, direct, and/or train employees performing construction and maintenance activities to include:
Low pressure calls
Class 1 leaks
Inspect and/or audit installation of yard lines by contractors. Periodically performs and/or conducts inspections on contracted pipeline construction activities to meet peak demands (as specified by position).
Maintain logs; compile and prepare reports including but not limited to:
Accident/first aid reports
Advise and inform customers, contractors, landowners, local authorities, and others relative to construction and/or maintenance work in progress.
Experience in use, function, maintenance, and repair of tools and equipment applicable to position.
Experience with application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (tested).
Experience in construction and maintenance of transmission and distribution pipeline systems.
Experience and training relative to:
Working in excavations and/or confined spaces
Basic customer service activities
Customer service emergency procedures
Company and governmental operating/safety procedures
One Call System policies and procedures
Working knowledge of welding policies and procedures.
Knowledge of function and/or maintenance of regulators, chart meters, well meters, cathodic protection, and leakage survey.
Experience and knowledge in basic computer functions and relevant software.
Experience interpreting maps, atlas pages, blueprints, GIS sketches, and job orders.
Demonstrated ability to guide, lead, and/or train.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Applicable driver's license.
Qualified Plastic Fusion Technician certification.
Applicable Operator Qualifications.
Lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds 10 15 times a day; up to 40 pounds 7 10 times a day; up to 50 pounds 10 12 times a day.
Climb into and out of excavations and onto and off of equipment.
Travel over uneven terrain including but not limited to:
React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
Smell odorant in natural gas.
Detect and react to warning signals at work sites.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions including use of company two way radio.
Peripheral vision and accurate depth perception.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
