The Sustainability Analyst Co-op will play an important role on Algonquin’s Sustainability team and will be responsible for compiling, analyzing, and presenting data on the company’s sustainability efforts in support of the team’s on-going focus on developing a comprehensive internal sustainability program.
Conduct market research for relevant information on ESG and sustainability reporting programs and initiatives
Assist in the compilation of data, both from internal business groups as well as from external market sources
Create summary documents (written reports, spreadsheets, presentations) to support internal decision making
Verbal and written presentation of data and analysis
Ability to deliver quality work across multiple concurrent assignments, meeting deadlines
React to changes in work assignments; prioritize and undertake all other tasks as assigned
Education and Experience
2nd year Business student attending College or University. Students with a combined focus on Business and Sustainability would be an asset.
Must have experience with data analysis
Must have strong experience with Microsoft Office Programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills
Strong communication, interpersonal and team-building skills
Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently and manage priorities
