The IT PMO Analyst is responsible for conducting timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting to assist in IT financial decision making. As a member of the IT PMO this person provides financial insights to IT leaders to ensure all data pertaining to capitalized budgets and forecasts are available to support decisions. This person will act as a liaison between IT and Finance & Accounting.
Provides financial support of the IT project portfolio budget planning and management
Maintains relationships and open communication with the IT Project Managers, IT Leadership, and Finance teams
Ensures financial alignment and accuracy across the IT project portfolio and Finance
Composes Monthly IT project financial reporting and conducts ad-hoc analysis as needed
Coordinates Month End Close for IT Department
Ensures all accruals are understood by the Accounting teams for month end
Assists in Monthly Capex labor tracking and reporting
Conducts Capex Reporting and Analysis
Monitors and tracks Capitalization Requests against budget
Monitors and tracks key Capitalized Contract Approvals against budget
Administers all Financial account requests for IT chargeback
Coordinates Invoice Processing
Monitors amount spent by vendor, department, projects, stakeholders
Assists in practices relating to Procure to Pay for the IT department
Facilitates Forecast and Budget Financial Process
Prepares materials for monthly forecasting process
Supports quarterly and year-end close process
Monitors headcount of open, closed and contract positions
Understands Capex impacts on Opex
Understands intercompany cost allocation
Skills & Requirements:
• 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis
• Analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize data and prepare reports
• Time management and organizational skills with ability to multitask
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with enterprise financials systems, e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Dynamics
• Experience in identifying and executing improvements in FP&A process; self-motivated problem solver
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Prior experience with reporting tools like Tableau or PowerBI would be an added benefit.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent
