Job Purpose

Develop effective end-state business processes that deliver expected AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) values across all affected business areas.

Key Accountabilities

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Establish Business Process Design (BPD) schedule, identify workshop participants, define guiding principles, escalate risks and issues, ensure continuity across processes.

  • Identify where process maps already exist and where new ones need to be created.

  • Develop data driven presentations and business cases that provide analytical insight and recommendations on standardization and process improvement.

  • Lead the completion of detailed process maps and user stories that are required to deliver the value case for AMI.

  • Develop workshop materials, document workshop notes, resolve open items and create DPD documentation.

  • Identify, track, and manage key decisions, action items, and associated follow up.

  • Map acceptance criteria into product features; Coordinate with IT for technical acceptance criteria.

  • Provide support and guidance to product teams to better understand business requirements and acceptance criteria and ensure continued alignment of the to-be process with product development.

  • Support and participate in Agile Product Increment planning as needed.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability in relationship/stakeholder management to ensure mutually beneficial business outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability work cooperatively with contracted vendor teams to assure expected outcomes are achieved.

  • Solid understanding of business processes for critical functional areas with strong facilitation skills.

  • Process mapping and application of appropriate improvement methodologies and tools

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent working experience in relevant business focus (Customer front office, Customer back office, Customer Marketing, Gas & Electric Field Service and Operations) preferred.

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office tools, Teams, SharePoint

  • Experience with Jira for Agile project management preferred

Salary

Downstate NY: $133,000 - $156,000 a year

MA: $122,000 - $146,000 a year

Upstate NY: $111,000 - $130,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
