National Grid is hiring an Account Maintenance and Operations (AMO) Analyst in Northborough, MA

This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to Northborough, MA

Job Purpose

The AMO Analyst will be responsible for supporting the transition for our Massachusetts Electric customers to new Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) technology. They will be responsible for identify risks, coordinating mitigation plans, and ensuring AMO is meeting all key performance indicators (KPIs) around the project deployment and new ways of working.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to analyze and improve processes cross functionally using data analytics and/or project management skills. They will develop new ways of working and ensure sustainment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support of AMI deployment (tracking issues to resolution, communicating volumes, raising risks, and recommending mitigating actions)

  • Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures around AMI procedures for the back-office team (AMO)

  • Modify or establish reporting to ensure AMO performance meets regulatory, customer and revenue needs

  • Regularly recommending AMO effectiveness and efficiency improvements

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in order to share best practice provide technical advice and build bases of influence

  • Assist Supervisors in reporting and process improvement efforts

  • Performance Hub Roll-out Assistance

  • Challenge existing processes and continuously seek ways to do things better in order to drive greater efficiencies for the business through a focus on accuracy, productivity and customer service

  • Create detailed process maps to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined

  • Establish process controls to ensure AMO is meeting regulatory compliance

  • Ensure local metrics are up to date in hubs

  • Research and analyze key themes from a wide range of data sources in order to identify how different scenarios may impact upon the business

  • Design and implement new processes or policies in order to ensure all working practice (and where relevant, health and safety standards) are compliant with National Grid policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • At least 2 years of experience working within AMO preferred

  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Knowledge of internal billing/CRM applications (CSS, Salesforce, Maximo)

  • Proficient in relational database querying techniques (SQL) preferred but not required

Salary

$73,000 - $86,000 a year

Salary commensurate with location and experience
