Job Purpose

The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all construction projects are completed per customer construction specifications. This position supports the Construction and Operations teams and works with customers, subcontractors, and personnel from all departments.

Essential Functions

  1. Function as the primary contact for customer concerns and complaints for both in-house and subcontractor crew performance.

  2. Manage customer complaints by responding to customer emails, calls, and non-conformance issues.

  3. Responsible for ensuring all proper permitting and bonding requirements have been met.

  4. Prepare and present reports relating to job quality performance.

  5. Perform physical fieldwork, such as walking of job sites, as needed, to follow up on complaints and assess site compliance.

  6. Follow company-wide safety practices, policies, and training.

  7. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. A High School Diploma, or equivalent.

  2. 3 year of experiencein relevant or related field(Would recommend that this be increased to 3 years)

  3. Knowledge of aerial and underground construction.(Dependent upon industry being supported)

  4. Knowledge of Network operations and associated inventory for both RF and Fiber networks. (Dependent upon industry being supported)

  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, primarily phone and email.

  6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to become proficient with customer “Host Systems”.

  7. Strong attention to detail, with a track record for leading the team around them to higher levels of operational excellence.

  8. Ability to accurately keep records while managing multiple projects at one time.

  9. Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume work environment.

  10. Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for project build process.

  11. Ability to communicate clearly and maintain a calm and effective demeanor in all circumstances.

  12. Problem solving aptitude.

  13. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  14. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call, as needed.

  15. Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 2 or more years of experience.

  2. Formal safety training and certifications. (Not sure why this is relevant)

  3. Understanding of CAD and GIS

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This job often operates in a field environment. This role routinely requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is physically active, with lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
