Location: Nisku, Alberta
Reporting to the Corporate HSE Director, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of HSE Administrative related experience and a strong administrative background. This role may require intermittent travel to other project sites. The candidate will be required to plan, organize, and communicate with others. The candidate will also perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of HSE management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and revision of HSE procedures, JHA's and safety forms.
Files, archives and maintains document control of HSE documentation. Ensures all records are complete and updates applicable spreadsheets to maintain corporate HSE statistics.
Creates and distributes agenda packages/content for various meetings chaired by HSE Director.
Drafts statistical, narrative, and other reports as required.
Utilizes Microsoft Office for the development of reports, letters, memos, bulletins, presentations, and spreadsheets.
Monitor corporate training compliance. Performs a Training Needs Analysis and informs applicable personnel where re-certifications are required.
Deliver safety to employees, and new hires, as determined by policy and programs.
Provides assistance in 'action' tracking for identified conditions from completed inspections. Following up with the appropriate personnel to ensure completion of the recommended action.
Review all submitted incident investigations and ensure consistency.
Assists with workplace shop inspections and corporate audits.
Manage clerical portion of documentation of all safety related documentation.
Work with HSE Manager and HSE Director on other various projects and initiatives as required.
Minimum 3 years directly related in HSE Administration
Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours
Must have a valid driver's licence with a safe driving record
Possess a HSA Certification
Possess strong computer skills: Proficiency in MS Office including MS word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
Certificate or pursuit of NCSO is preferred
Degree or diploma in a related field i.e HSE or OH&S
Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats
Entry level marketing experience or relevant marketing experience
Environmental training or experience with administration of environmental programs
