External Pre-Hire Assessment Required:Professional Pre-Hire Assessment
Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates classroom, laboratory and/or simulator training for the discipline using the Systematic Approach to Training Model. Facilitates learning interventions. Ensures training material and presentations will result in performance improvement. Designs, presents and evaluates training in a professional manner, which displays leadership and reinforces management expectations. Coaches and mentors students in initial and continuing training programs. Directly supervises students within their respective training programs. Works closely with the line organization to help resolve emerging performance needs.
Conducts performance analysis to ensure problems/issues are positioned with the correct solutions.
Conducts training in accordance with Nuclear Training procedures, work instructions, and best industry practices.
Emulates and reinforces management's expectations of industrial safety, reactor safety, classroom conduct, human performance etc.
Evaluates student performance and course effectiveness.
Evaluates Training Program Effectiveness through data acquisition, analysis and trending.
Interfaces with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission NRC and the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations INPO to ensure training programs are in compliance with current regulations.
Leads training self-assessments and program comprehensive evaluations.
Maintains instructor and technical qualifications for assigned discipline.
Maintains National Academy of Nuclear Training accreditation for assigned accredited training programs.
Mentors new training instructors
Mentors Subject Matter Expert SME presenters to ensure maximum student/client benefit.
Represents training at discipline specific Training Committees.
Reviews work processes and procedures for quality and efficiency and implements revisions as necessary.
Solicits and responds to management observations of training and student feedback.
Solicits and responds to management observations, trainee feedback and corrective action documents to identify areas for improvement in the training programs and client performance.
Tracks student progress through initial training programs
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
High School diploma or GED and four years experience in the designated Nuclear discipline
OR an Associate/Technical degree and two years of experience in the designated Nuclear discipline.
Two years Nuclear Training Experience.
Experience conducting and using performance analysis techniques
Experience effectively managing complex tasks or projects
Participate as an Emergency Response Organization ERO member and responds to call-ins as appropriate.
Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
Able to pass all phases of InProcessing including a background investigation, psychological screening, appropriate radiation worker/respiratory training and be medically certifiable drug and alcohol screen.
Demonstrates mastery using all phases of the Systematic Approach to Training SAT process.
Communication and presentation skills.
Able to effectively prepare and present classroom presentations.
