PSEG is seeking a Summer intern in our Power Ventures team in Newark, NJ.
Power Ventures is in need of a staff intern due to the anticipated volume of activity in the Power Ventures group in 2018. These activities include: Assistance on due diligence on dozens of potential solar facility acquisitions anticipated in 2018, assistance in asset management of the existing solar facilities as well as the Kalaeloa facility, and assistance with the various PSEG processes and approvals that are to be documented throughout the year.
Potential Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Organizing/analysis of data
Use of software (PVSYST)
Assistance in creating presentations
Research on specific topics as it relates to the business
Required Education/Skills : The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration. Candidates must have excellent oral and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. GPA information MUST be included on your resume for employment consideration. Because the job requires driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events, must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe and satisfactory driver history.
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period for the full 10-12 week period. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students with GPA of 3.0 staying in the NJ/NY/PA metro area for the duration of the internship and able to commute to the assigned work location. Housing, transportation, Immigration Support will not be provided with this position.
As an employee of PSE&G or PSEG Long Island, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
