Job Summary

This position is open to current PSEG employees only

Provide high quality administrative support to senior-level executive handling various matters. Responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative services that are diverse and often sensitive or confidential in nature. Will be responsible to work independently on confidential, time sensitive assignments using judgements and initiative. Responsible for administrative functions necessary to support all employees in ER&T and Offshore Wind groups, including scheduling training, tracking qualification status, coordinating with ER&T and Offshore Wind employees for reporting of progress on key initiatives and goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties that include typing, filing, and implementing and maintaining filing systems

• Screen, direct, and prioritize incoming correspondence, phone calls, and route assignment/questions to appropriate parties

• Prepare, proofread, and edit documents for accuracy and completeness

• Maintain and coordinate calendars as assigned and prepare meeting agendas and arranging meetings and travel logistics

• Must possess good understanding of the business being supported in order to address inquiries, prioritize workload, and follow-up on action items.

• Will provide support for special projects and other functions including assisting in the preparation of presentation materials and in developing various work products and schedules to complement the planning process and deliverables to ensure timely completion

• This position may be requested to assist other departments as workload or business needs dictate

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Qualifications, Competencies, Education or Experience:

• HS diploma or GED with equivalent relevant work experience with executive/key manager-level administrative support experience.

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in providing administrative support for key manager level or above.

• Knowledge of Company policies and procedures.

• Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.

• Superior oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Proven proficiency in the use of SAP (time reporting and administration and requisitions/purchase orders) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent keyboarding skills and the ability and willingness to learn new software programs.

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and work under pressure.

• Demonstrated ability to handle and retain confidential information.

• Proven ability to maintain sensitive confidential information is critical to this role.

• Demonstrated ability to quickly develop good understanding of the business being supported in order to address inquiries, prioritize workload, and follow-up on action items.
