Job Summary

The SAP Principal Lead Technology Product Consultant is an expert product consultant. This role also shapes business opportunities, introduces new innovations and supports business goals that are enabled by technology. Manages very large projects and directs multiple product teams to meet business objectives. Develops and executes an integrated architectural view of and strategy for our enterprise-wide portfolio of all SAP enterprise technology solutions such as: ECC, CRM, BW, Ariba, PCM, GRC. In this capacity, this position is responsible for the following:

Job Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains an integrated architecture view and reference architectures of the current and future state of critical and important IT products

• Evaluates current architecture to detect critical deficiencies, recommends solutions for improvement and documents all architecture design and analysis work

• Oversees the governance of the Life Cycle Plan (LCP) portfolio of applications and infrastructure associated with their domain.

• Develops and maintains technology roadmaps and financial investment plans based on business objectives, business value, risks, industry trends, innovation, existing, new and expanding capability requirements, and future state technology lifecycle plans.

• Oversees the development of SAP landscape management plans and the implementation of SAP upgrades and maintenance releases

• Oversees the development and execution of the Disaster Recovery (DR) Process for the SAP systems

• Leads various SMEs and suppliers in Root Cause Analysis of production systems failures

• Oversees the technical staff and vendors to identify and resolve complex application and hardware problems impacting availability and performance of the SAP systems

• Drives IT innovation, concept assessments, industry benchmarking analysis, risk analysis, business case development and approval for technologies that could benefit the business and the company.

• Collaborates with technology vendors and industry leaders to identify strategic and innovative uses of technology to drive operational excellence, profitability and to close capability gaps.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

• BS / BA degree in Computer Science or related field

• 10 or more years of related work experience in technology field

• Knowledge of SAP technologies and supporting infrastructure

• At least 3 years of experience in developing and/or deploying large-scale SAP applications

• At least 5 years of experience in developing and or deploying large-scale applications.

• At least 5 years of experience in enterprise architecture or solution / project architecture or consulting such as experience in the following:

o Applying architectural principles, methods, and tools to address business challenges

o Defining solution and architecture roadmaps and product life cycle plans

o Evaluating new technologies, applications or platforms and developing proof of concepts

• Strong facilitation skills to sustain the teamwork, coordination and communication required among associates from multiple SAP skill sets including ABAP/4 programming, Basis support, Infrastructure Engineers, SAP Module Experts across all SAP modules, Data Security, and SAP Production Management required to deliver and maintain high quality services from the SAP Production landscapes.

• Builds strong relationships with clients

• Strong oral and written communication skills; communicates client needs or desires to the Product teams to design and deliver necessary enhancements and solutions

• Demonstrated effective communication and strong working relationships. These include key business clients, technology senior leadership and our strategic technology partners to effectively implement the product requirements and roadmap

Desired:

• Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate, lead and influence appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.

• Experience in developing, articulating, and building support around a long-term vision (big picture) and delivering concepts with quantifiable business value

• Graduate degree in Information Systems, related discipline or MBA

• Advanced professional training and certifications in technical specialties such as Project Management Professional (PMP), organization change management (e.g. Lean Six Sigma), business process modeling / re-engineering

• Strong business acumen that enables the ability to develop strategy, process capabilities, enabling technologies, and associated investment governance
