This position will be responsible to help develop, lead and execute the company's diversity and inclusion strategy. The goal is to integrate diversity and inclusion into all aspects of PSEG's business across the enterprise and externally in our communities of service. The role will acknowledge and leverage diversity as a business tool. Key responsibilities include: creating enterprise-wide diversity strategies; leading diversity cultural change process and by designing and implementing diversity education and training programs; working with business partners and the community to design and develop interventions that create a productive work climate for all employees.

Champion diversity strategies to ensure that the organizations' culture, systems and processes support an environment where leaders and employees seek and embrace individual differences and support the opportunity for all to contribute to the business goals of the enterprise, including internal & external relationships.

Facilitate development and implementation of measurable diversity strategies and initiatives to achieve the enterprise business goals with a focus on integration into current business processes.

Provide leadership and direction to Affinity Groups and Diversity Councils Lead and facilitate diversity education and training programs and increase diversity content in employee training and materials.

Conduct benchmarking analysis and make recommendations on diversity trends.

Basic Qualifications ( Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge)

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 9 or more years of developing and advancing diversity and inclusion strategies for measureable results for a large corporate environment.

  • Without a bachelor's degree 13 years of experience in developing and advancing diversity and inclusion strategies for measureable results for a large corporate environment

Required Qualifications, Competencies, Education or Experience:

  • Proven leadership ability, strong ability to influence others, demonstrated passion for the issue of diversity

  • Work experience in the field of diversity and inclusion

  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment with the ability and credibility to work through all levels of the enterprise as a business partner and change agent Good organizational and relationship building skills

  • Good project management and administrative skills

  • Attention to detail and a drive for results

  • Basic consulting skills (the ability to scope, develop and manage project solutions)

  • Ability to conduct research, analyze results and make proposals/recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative factors/data

  • Good business and financial acumen, with proven experience in measurement, benchmarking, data analysis, and interpretation

  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications, Competencies, Education or Experience:

  • Community experience, i.e. volunteering, participation, non-profit

  • Experience in the development and implementation of a comprehensive diversity strategy for a Fortune 500 company

  • Master's Degree in related field

  • Functional and technical experience in relational database, HRMS systems (SAP, SQL, Crystal Reports, PeopleSoft - SAP preferred)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of EEO/AA, Employee Relations and employment laws, as well as guidelines and current trends in Diversity & Inclusion practices
