Intern, Project Finance - Safari Energy (A PPL Co.)
Assist in the financial analysis and customer presentation process
Support the Operations team on all structural and technical aspects of solar projects
Support the Finance professionals to develop and structure customer-specific financing solutions
Assist in the research of federal and state photovoltaic incentive programs for incorporation into analyses and identification of new business opportunities
Support in developing, building, and maintaining financial models for internal analysis and client presentations
Reporting to the Project Finance Director, the Project Finance Intern will drive the financial modeling and presentation development for large solar portfolio clients, assisting the business development team. Additionally, he or she may provide support on project finance transactions with banks and equity and tax equity investors. This is a hands-on position which will require a high attention to detail and rigorous financial modeling. The Internship will require the ability to work independently and as a team member, in a fast-pace, early stage company environment.
The role will begin as a 8-10 week internship program (June 7 – August 13), approximately 25 hours/wk with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment upon successful completion. Minimum of 8 weeks required.
Must be passionate about the renewable energy business, hardworking and thrive in the fast pace of a rapidly growing, early stage company. In addition, the Project Finance Intern must possess:
Perusing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field
Must be a rising collegiate senior by summer 2021
Strong academic track record (GPA of 3.5 or above)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong organizational and people skills
Understanding of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting
